This week, the contractor's underground crew continued installing new water service lines between Woodward Ave and Chestnut Street, with completion expected early next week. This will allow the commencement of storm sewer installation.
Simultaneously, the contractor finished pouring new curbs and sidewalks between the bridge and Wayne Avenue. Paving the initial layers of asphalt began today, with completion anticipated tomorrow (Saturday).
In addition to the storm sewer work, the contractor will restore parkways between the bridge and Wayne Avenue. Preparation will continue from Wilmot Rd to Wayne Ave and from the railroad tracks to Waukegan Rd for final paving. This final paving in these areas is set to start later next week, with completion expected early in the week of the 20th.
