[ARCHIVED] Woodland Drive Drainage Improvement Project Starts June 14

The Woodland Drive Drainage Improvement Project starts Wednesday, June 14, and will close Woodland Drive to through traffic between Wilmot Road and Crabtree Lane.

The driving force behind this project is to alleviate flooding that occurs at the Woodland Drive and Oakwood Place intersection during intense storm events. A drainage study  completed 2016 revealed the need to install large diameter storm sewer pipe.

Residents who reside on Woodland Drive will have access to their property at most times via the roadway and all times by foot. However, due to limited space during daytime operations, access to driveways may be delayed or denied at times. Please allow ample time for relocation of vehicles and temporary delays that may occur. Though driveway access may be denied during daytime operations, access will be re-established at the end of daytime operations.

“No Parking” signs have been posted along Woodland Drive and Crabtree Lane to ensure adequate passage for vehicles that are utilizing the detour route.

The Village appreciates your effort in helping to complete this improvement. If you have any questions or need additional information, please contact the Village of Deerfield Engineering Department at 847-317-2490 and request to speak with someone regarding the Woodland Drive Project.
