Construction Update – 8/29/2025

This week, the contractor completed the installation of the water main between Prairie Avenue and Wayne Avenue. In the upcoming week, storm sewer installation will continue in the same area as the water main segment undergoes mandatory testing procedures. Once the segment passes testing, water services will begin to be transferred to the new main, likely the week of 9/8.

Additionally, preparations will begin next week for the pavement reconstruction between the bridge and Wayne Avenue. This phase will involve material removal/relocation, survey layout and equipment delivery to the site. Pavement reconstruction in this area is scheduled to begin on Monday, September 8.

Beginning next week, the contractor will begin to accelerate their work by working 12-hour days, from 7am to 7pm. This initiative aims to recover time lost due to unforeseen project delays and to ensure the completion of the project by Thanksgiving as initially scheduled.
