This week, the contractor completed installation of new curbs and gutters between the bridge and Hemlock Street. Concrete work will continue over the next couple of weeks with curb installation between Hemlock Street and Wayne Avenue and sidewalk installation between the bridge and Wayne Avenue.
Additionally, the underground crew continued making progress between Clay Court and Chestnut Street with installation of new storm sewers and water main. Once this section is finished, all underground work will be completed.
The contractor is working longer weekday hours to increase productivity, and began working Saturdays as well. This is being done to recover time lost from unforeseen delays and to stay on schedule for project completion by Thanksgiving, as originally planned.
