Construction Update – Project Begins Next Week
Weather depending, the contractor will begin the necessary tree removals along Hazel Avenue on Wednesday, March 5th. These removals are required to construct the necessary project improvements. At the end of the project, the Village will work with property owners to replant trees in place of lost trees.
Once tree removals have been completed, the underground contractor anticipates starting storm sewer installation near Broadmoor Place, towards the west end of the project. Due to the size of the pipe being installed, this work will require a detour of non-local traffic. Motorists who do not live along these limits are asked to use alternate routes, such as Deerfield Road or Greenwood Road, and avoid the construction area.
