Village of Deerfield (locally) Administered Taxes
In addition to the State of Illinois General Merchandise Tax, the Village of Deerfield imposes a prepared food and beverage tax and a hotel tax, which are administered locally. The taxes must be paid directly to the Village and submitted on the appropriate tax filing forms. Payment of these taxes is the responsibility of the business.- Prepared Food and Beverage Tax - The Village collects a one percent (1.0%) tax on prepared food and beverages sold for immediate consumption, regardless of whether the consumption occurs on or off the premises.
- Hotel Tax - The Village collects a hotel tax at the rate of seven percent (7.0%) of the room rate.
