Memorial Day Closures

Non-emergency Village offices will be closed Monday for Memorial Day. LRS collection will be delayed by one day next week. 

The Deerfield American Legion Post 738 invites everyone to its annual Memorial Day ceremony at the Veterans Memorial located in the Jewett Park Community Center parking lot at 10 a.m. Monday, May 29. Following brief remarks, the ceremony will proceed with a procession to the Deerfield Cemetery for the reading of the names of the buried who served their country.

Deerfield Art Festival Returns June 3-4

The Deerfield Art Festival is filling Park Avenue with 80+ original artists on June 3-4!  Start your family or friend’s day downtown with coffee/breakfast, then soak in the creativity of the fest!  Make your masterpiece at our live painting class, or plan a creative stop in the Kid Zone. 

Break for lunch and enjoy a cold beer, lemonade and delicious snacks at the fest. Be sure to look for Kid’s Art Stop and Live Art Demo signs to get interactive with the artists.  Many of Deerfield’s great restaurants, cafes and retail stores are open all weekend. Waukegan Road Water Main Replacement Update

This week, the contractor continued residential service connections with multiple crews. Next week, crews will resume overnight work in the downtown area for business service connections while continuing government and residential service connections during the day. Once all service connections are complete south of Hazel Avenue, final asphalt paving will take place between Fair Oaks and Hazel.

Updates on the project will be shared via the Village website and interested parties can sign up to receive e-mail and/or text message updates on the project. You can also watch a video of a recent public open house about the project.
