This is a community event open to all in Deerfield and a fundraiser to support DHS student programs.

Deerfield Area Historical Society Fall Fest - September 8

Historic Village

Mark your calendars for the Historical Society’s Fall Festival on Sunday, September 8, from noon-4 p.m. at the Deerfield Historic Village. The event will feature tours of the Village, craft demonstrations, historic games, antique cars, farm animals, music and food vendors. Fall Fest is free for all ages.

The Historical Society, a donor supported, independent nonprofit organization, maintains the Historic Village. As a non-profit organization, all of the Society’s services are made possible by membership dues and donations. For more information, call 847.948.0680.

DBR Chamber Healthy Lifestyle Expo - September 7 

Healthy Lifestyle Expo
The Deerfield-Bannockburn-Riverwoods Chamber of Commerce is hosting the 16th annual Healthy Lifestyle Expo on Saturday, September 7 at the Patty Turner Center from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. This event, sponsored by Whitehall Deerfield, is free to attend and will feature flu shots, health screenings and healthy lifestyle products and services.

This year’s Expo will include community organizations with health and safety information. Flu shots will be administered by Walgreen’s and will be available to everyone including those over 65 with Medicare part B. For patients with Medicare part B, there is no charge, and most insurance plans cover flu shots as a preventative measure. Free hearing screenings courtesy of Audiology Associates of Deerfield, vision screenings and blood pressure testing will also be available. A shredding truck, sponsored by First Midwest Bank, will be on-site and will accept up to 3 grocery-size bags per person at no charge. 

Sponsored by Whitehall Deerfield, Walgreens, First Midwest Bank, Sleep Number, Tempurpedic and West Deerfield Township, there will be over 30 exhibitors with products and services targeted at all ages. For more information, contact the DBR Chamber office at 847.945.4660.
