New Metra Reverse-Commute Service Begins March 4

Beginning on Monday, March 4, Metra is offering an expansion of service for reverse commuters in Lake County.

The new service will help alleviate traffic in the area and bring Deerfield business' employees to town. Additionally, residents will have expanded service for trips from the city and back to Deerfield. 

Changes includes an additional express train that leaves Chicago at 6:25 a.m. and arrives at the Lake Cook Road station at 7:04 a.m. and the Deerfield Road station at 7:08 a.m. Metra has also added three trains that leave the Deerfield Road station and Lake Cook Road station in the 5 p.m. hour, one additional train in the 7 p.m. hour and one additional in the 11 p.m. hour.

Rebate for Sump Pump Connection Repair

Did you know that you may have an illegal sump pump connection in your home? The Residential Sump Pump Disconnection Program has been implemented to reduce costly and unnecessary sanitary sewer overflows and backups.

For a limited time only, the Village is offering a 20% rebate to homeowners who eliminate illegal sump pump connections. If you have an illegal sump pump connection, please consider taking advantage of this limited-time offering while it lasts.

In order to receive a rebate, you must submit to the Village a Certificate of Compliance completed by a licensed plumber and a paid invoice.

The Village of Deerfield’s Village Center Commission (VCC) is asking residents to take 5 minutes and complete the 2019 Village Center Resident Survey! The survey is available online here from now through March 31, 2019.

The VCC continues to advance a positive vision for downtown Deerfield and supports the area’s vitality and desirability.  In order for the VCC to evaluate and evolve initiatives and programs, they are taking the pulse of the community. 

Once the VCC has compiled the responses, they will be better equipped to design our programs in line with your needs. The survey can be taken online or printed and dropped off at Village Hall.
