Happy New Year from the Village of Deerfield

New Year
Non-Emergency Village offices will be closed on Tuesday, January 1 in observance of New Year's Day. Regular hours will resume on the following Wednesday.

We'd also like to remind everyone to stay safe and smart this holiday season by never drinking and driving. See you next year, Deerfield!

Waste Management Collection Delay

Waste Management

Due to the observance of  New Year's Day, Waste Management refuse collection (garbage and recycling) will be delayed by one day the week of December 31. Tuesday collection will take place on Wednesday and Wednesday collection will take place on Thursday.

As a reminder, keep Deerfield clean and be considerate to neighbors by not leaving large refuse items or garbage and recycling carts at the curb at unsanctioned times.

According the Village’s Municipal Code, on non-collection days, all containers for garbage and recycling shall be stored out of plain sight from the street. On collection days, all containers shall be securely closed and placed for collection at the curbside not earlier than sundown of the day preceding your scheduled collection day. This also applies to miscellaneous waste, which can be scheduled for pickup by contacting Waste Management at 800.796.9696.

For questions and concerns, contact the Community Development Department at 847.719.7484.
