Celebrate Earth Day - April 22

In celebration of Earth Day, April 22, the Village’s Sustainability Commission has partnered with School District 109 and Walgreens to bring sustainable activities and curriculum to the classroom. These activities help to increase our community’s environmental awareness and encourage residents to take action to improve energy savings and sustainability.

Next week, students across District 109 will participate in energy conservation activities developed in conjunction with the Village’s Sustainability Commission.

Arbor Day Tree Planting - April 27

Arbor Day

In celebration of Arbor, April 27, the Village’s Sustainability Commission has partnered with the Deerfield High School Earth Works Club to plant a tree on Arbor Day.

The Village encourages all residents to plant a tree on Arbor Day and to support efforts to protect our trees and woodlands.
