Significant Threat of Localized Flooding/Flash Flooding
Severe storms moving into the area may produce damaging winds and torrential rainfall, dropping two to three inches of rain. As a result, there is a significant threat of localized flooding, flash flooding and increased water levels in
the Middle Fork of the North Branch of the Chicago River.PowerPlease contact ComEd to report a power outage. Village staff is not able to report a power outage on behalf of a resident. ComEd has online and mobile tools to track and report outages available here. Village staff will work with ComEd in the event of any power outage to ensure power restoration. Staff will be monitoring potential outages through the weekend.
Flooding/SandbagsThe Village is making sandbags available to residents who need them at the Public Works Facility at 465 Elm Street. Use the Elm Street entrance and follow the signs.Residents can help reduce flooding by checking to make sure the inlets in their neighborhoods are clear of debris.
