Village of Deerfield

Earth Hour 2017 this Saturday

Join the Village and celebrate Earth Hour on Saturday, March 25, by turning off all non-essential lights from 8:30 – 9:30 pm. Households, organizations and businesses across Illinois, the U.S., and the world will turn off their lights and turn their attention towards the need for substantial, long-term action to raise awareness about energy efficiency and global climate change.

Last year, residents of 178 countries and territories across 7 continents and the International Space Station took nearly 2.5 million action-steps to help the environment. Fun ways to celebrate include hosting a candle light dinner, stargazing, or camping.

Visit EarthHour.Org for additional information.

Sign Up for Construction Project Updates

Road construction and infrastructure improvement projects are about to start in various locations throughout the Village. Residents are encouraged to sign up to receive e-mail and text message updates regarding the projects in their neighborhood or along their commute.

The Village website’s Notify Me feature allows residents to get up-to-date notices on Village news, events, meetings, construction projects and more.  This year, the Village is creating separate categories for each major infrastructure improvement project, allowing resident to subscribe to receive updates only on the projects that impact them.

After registering on-line and choosing the kind of information to receive, an e-mail, text message or both will be sent each time new information is published on the website.
Signing up for Deerfield's Notify Me service is easy. Click here to visit the Notify Me page and register for updates from the blogs associated with each construction project of interest. While there, look at other topics of interest and subscribe to them, too.
