Earth Hour 2017 this Saturday
Join the Village and celebrate Earth Hour on Saturday, March 25, by turning off all non-essential lights from 8:30 – 9:30 pm. Households, organizations and businesses across Illinois, the U.S., and the world will turn off their lights and turn their attention towards the need for substantial, long-term action to raise awareness about energy efficiency and global climate change.
Last year, residents of 178 countries and territories across 7 continents and the International Space Station took nearly 2.5 million action-steps to help the environment. Fun ways to celebrate include hosting a candle light dinner, stargazing, or camping.
