Community Comes Out for Third Give Where You Live - Deerfield MLK Day of Service Event

On Monday, a record crowd of volunteers helped fill 600 pairs of socks with toiletries and others essentials, all tied up with a hand-written message of encouragement at the third Give Where You Live – Deerfield MLK Day of Service. Volunteers also made no-sew blankets and other care packages for area homeless.

Deerfield Police Department Hosts Blood Drive Friday

Celebrate the New Year with the Deerfield Police Department by helping replenish the blood supply.

The Police Department will host a blood drive Friday, January 20, from noon to 6 p.m. at Village Hall, 850 Waukegan Road. To schedule an appointment visit www.lifesource.org, select “Make an Appointment,” create login, and search by group code 561A. Appointments can also be made by calling LifeSource at 877-543-3768. Appointments are recommended, but walk-ins are welcome.
