Arbor Day Tree Planting at Shepard

The Village put down some roots for Arbor Day Friday at Shepard Middle School! Mayor Shapiro shared remarks as the community gathered for a tree planting and celebration of the important role trees play in keeping Deerfield beautiful, healthy and vibrant.

As Mayor Shapiro said, “Just like a tree, good things take time to grow. Success, confidence, friendships and strong communities do not happen overnight. They grow little by little, with care, effort and patience.”

Thank you to everyone who helped make the event special and support a greener future for the Village.
