Deerfield Winter Celebration Dec. 2-3
Tonight, horse-drawn carriages will carry riders around downtown Deerfield from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. The Village Hall front lawn will feature a two-hour live ice sculpture show, roasted chestnuts, and photo opportunities. The Village Hall lobby will be the venue for a warm snack from Upper Crust Bagel and live holiday performances from the Deerfield High School Choraliers, costumed Dickens Carolers, and a special holiday performance by Deerfield’s own The Hurricane Saxophone Quartet.
The festivities continue tomorrow, December 3, as many downtown merchants will offer holiday snacks, activities, and promotions. Visit Forrest Plaza at the Shops at Deerfield Square for hot cocoa courtesy of NorthShore University HealthSystem, a petting zoo, and pony rides. Horse drawn carriage tours will travel between Forrest Plaza and the Village Centre Plaza between Starbucks/Bobby’s Deerfield from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Be sure to hop off at this stop to enjoy live holiday-themed mascots, “Those Funny Little People,” and the Agape Ringers Bell Ensemble Quartet as they provide even more cheer.
Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Koenig Rubloff Realty Group will host photo opportunities with Santa and provide dreidel games and snacks Friday evening and Saturday during the day.
