"Deerfield Field of Honor - Dedicate a Flag" over a picture of American flags against a blue sky

Field of Honor: Nov. 7-11

Join us today for the opening of Deerfield's Field of Honor at Jewett Park! From 5 to 6 p.m., experience a breathtaking display of 500 U.S. flags, each representing a story of honor and sacrifice.

Today's event includes: Bagpipes, Honor Guard presentation, Pledge of Allegiance, National Anthem, kick-off remarks from Mayor Shapiro and special guest speaker Vietnam Veteran Dominic Sulimowski.

Let's come together as a community to show our gratitude. Proceeds will benefit Midwest Veterans Closet and Lake County Honor Flight, organizations that support and uplift those who have served.

Flags are still available for purchase.

Special events and speakers are scheduled daily today through Veterans Day on November 11. See the full schedule online.
