"Deerfield Field of Honor - Dedicate a Flag" over a picture of American flags against a blue sky

Field of Honor: Nov. 7-11

From November 7 to November 11, 2025, the Village of Deerfield invites residents to experience a breathtaking display of 500 United States flags at Jewett Park.

This moving tribute, part of the national Field of Honor event, will serve as a powerful reminder of the sacrifices made by our veterans and active-duty service members and is organized by the Village, Deerfield Police Department, Deerfield-Bannockburn Fire Protection District, Deerfield Public Library, Deerfield Park District and Deerfield American Legion Post 738.

Each flag in this solemn display represents an individual and carries a unique story. Residents have the opportunity to sponsor a flag in honor of a veteran, active-duty military member, or another personal hero.

This year’s “Honoring Our Veterans” display is made possible through the generosity of sponsors, donors and dedicated volunteers.

Proceeds will benefit Midwest Veterans Closet and Lake County Honor Flight, organizations that support and uplift those who have served.

For more information or to sponsor a flag or become a corporate sponsor, visit the event website or contact Hannah Kroll at hkroll@deerfield.il.us or 847.719.7515.
