Deerfield Harvest Fest Returns This Saturday

Rain is essential for a great harvest, but not a great Harvest Fest!

The Village is tracking the weather and moving forward with the Farmers Market, Touch-a-Truck, Cruise into Harvest Fest and the Harvest Fest concert series tomorrow. Plans may change based on weather conditions. It’s only a 40% chance of rain, but a 100% chance of having  a great time with neighbors and friends.

Start the day at the Farmers Market from 7 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., featuring fresh produce, live music, and the popular touch-a-truck event from 9 a.m. to noon. In the afternoon, from 2:30 to 5 p.m., enjoy the Cruise into Harvest Fest car show brought to you in partnership with the Deerfield Lions Club. The event will showcase vintage, classic and unique modern vehicles. During the car show, enjoy live music by local bands Roger That from 3 to 4 p.m. and Delta Pines from 4 to 5 p.m.

From 5 to 10 p.m. Harvest Fest offers 13 food vendors, a beer and wine tent, a bags tournament hosted by the Deerfield Park District and live music all evening. Catch Blooze Brothers from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. and Sixteen Candles from 8 to 10 p.m. Parking is available at the Downtown Deerfield Metra Lot and the Lindemann Lot.

Thank you to Platinum Sponsors Alpha Graphics, PVOLVE, K9 Resorts and Fortune Brands Innovations.

Pedal to Harvest Fest

Ditch the car and grab your bike! The Village of Deerfield’s Greenhouse Gas Reduction Working Group invites you to pedal on over to Harvest Fest on September 20. Why? Because the first 50 cyclists arriving by bike between 5 and 7 p.m. will get a special treat – a coupon for two FREE apple cider donuts from The Donut Jester!

It's a fun and eco-friendly way to enjoy the festivities, support our planet and indulge in some delicious donuts.

Stronger Together Deerfield

Stronger Together Deerfield is a collaborative, community-wide initiative open to all organizations that serve and support the people of Deerfield. The goal is to create a unifying message that strengthens community connections and fosters well-being, resilience and shared purpose — especially for the children and families in Deerfield.

On September 13, the Village Board unanimously adopted a resolution affirming the District’s participation in and commitment to the Stronger Together Deerfield initiative. School District 109 Board granted approval it on August 21. This resolution reflects the Village's and District 109's dedication to fostering collaboration, inclusivity and community partnerships that support the success and well-being of every student.

From growing concerns about youth mental health and social media overuse, to an increased need for connection, Deerfield is stronger when we face challenges together. This campaign is rooted in collective action — bringing together schools, local government, health providers, businesses, nonprofits and more to coordinate messaging, share resources and support one another. The core pillars are mental health and wellness, resilience and grit, digital balance and healthy tech use, community connection and belonging as well as trust and transparency across sectors.

Leaders from District 109 and the Village initially came together to build the concept of the initiative. The Village of Deerfield’s Community Relations Commission has taken the lead to review the Stronger Together Deerfield brand, and to brainstorm how it will move out into the community.
