Fine Arts Commission Hosts Public Art Program Open House

The Deerfield Fine Arts Commission welcomed art lovers to the Deerfield Public Library on Wednesday, August 13, for an open house showcasing the pieces selected for the ninth year of the Deerfield Public Art Program. Guests enjoyed light refreshments while exploring the works of participating artists Tracy Jones, John Calderon, Diane Paserba, Joel Trammell, Janet Poppe, Leslie Outten, Charlotte Kaplan, Alexis Brandenburg, Matt Plofsky, Linda Trytek, Sharon Straus and Karen Grage.

In the “Ask the Artist” forum, attendees had the opportunity to hear directly from the artists about their inspirations and creative process, and to ask questions about the pieces now on display. The art will soon be put on display in public buildings in the Village for one year.
