DAHS Call for Artists: Master Gardener
The Deerfield Area Historical Society invites you to bring your garden questions and learn from the pros this Sunday, August 10, from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Deerfield Historic Village, 450 Kipling Place. The DAHS entered into a partnership with the University of Illinois Extension Master Gardeners of Lake County to recreate gardens around the Historic Village. Visit often to see the progress of the gardens.
Sunday events continue with:
- August 24 (1-4 p.m.) - Plein Air Painting: Artists are invited to paint on-site
- September 14 (2-4 p.m.) - Everything Bee Day: Beekeeper demonstrations with local honey and fun for all
- September 28 (1-4 p.m.) - Scout Fun for Everyone: Wall climbing, monkey bridge, s'mores and classic scouting activities
The Deerfield Historic Village is open Sundays, from 2 to 4 p.m., June through September. Admission is free. The Deerfield Area Historical Society, a donor-supported, nonprofit organization that maintains the Historic Village.
