Food Truck Wednesday Returns July 30 with Great Eats, Live Music

Mark your calendars — Food Truck Wednesday is back on July 30, and you won’t want to miss it!

Join us from 4:30 to 8 p.m. at the Metra parking lot at Deerfield Road and Park Avenue for a night of delicious food, summer fun and live music from local country/rock band Major’s Junction.

After a brief pause due to the extreme heat, we're excited to bring the community together again to enjoy everything from BBQ and tamales to pizza, lobster rolls, sweet treats and more. Grab your friends, bring your appetite and celebrate summer with us at one of Deerfield’s favorite events!

Field of Honor at Farmers Market

Visit the Farmers Market this weekend to learn more about the 2025 Field of Honor. The Deerfield Police Department, in partnership with the Park District, Public Works, Village of Deerfield, Deerfield-Bannockburn Fire Department, Deerfield Public Library and the Deerfield American Legion, is proud to host the Field of Honor from November 7–11, 2025, at Jewett Park.

This community event will honor our veterans and raise funds for two outstanding organizations: Midwest Veteran’s Closet and Lake County Honor Flight. There are several ways you can support:

  • Dedicate a Flag – $35 Donation
Honor a veteran by dedicating a flag in their name. The flag will be proudly displayed during the event and at the conclusion of the event the flag is yours to keep.
  • Donate Any Amount
Every contribution helps support local veterans and ensures they receive the recognition and assistance they deserve.
  • Become a Sponsor
Sponsorships are available at the $500, $1,000, and $1,500 levels.

Together, we can make a meaningful impact. Thank you for helping us honor those who served.

Once the work is complete, the crossing will reopen and resume normal operations. Thank you for your patience during this important maintenance project.

Green Energy Partnership Program for Businesses

The Village of Deerfield is proud to launch the Green Energy Partnership Program, giving all local businesses access to 100% renewable electricity — anticipated at the same or even lower price than traditional energy from the grid!

This first-of-its-kind program in Illinois is fee-free, easy to use and supports the Village’s Climate Action Report goals. Businesses can make the switch in just a few simple steps by uploading a recent ComEd bill to the Green Energy Partnership Program website.

By participating, Deerfield businesses will not only help lower carbon emissions but also reduce operating costs while leading the way to a cleaner, greener community.
