Community Roll Call

Join the Deerfield Police Department for their next Community Roll Call this Wednesday, July 16, at 7 p.m. at 333 Warwick Road.

This is the fourth year the Department has hosted Community Roll Call in the summer as a way to connect with the community. Officers, investigators, social workers and other staff who serve the community will be on hand to provide updates on recent crime trends and calls for service. Community members are encouraged to ask questions and share concerns in an open, friendly setting.

50/50 Parkway Tree Program

The application for the 50/50 Tree Program is now open.

The Village of Deerfield is a member of the Suburban Tree Consortium, which enables us to obtain high-quality trees at competitive pricing. Most of our trees will be ordered from Wilson Nurseries, Inc. Trees offered through the program are 2.5” in diameter. Applications are due by August 29. This is a first-come, first-served program with a limited amount of each tree. The cost is $225.

The Village will pay half the cost to plant a tree in the parkway.  Your tree will be balled in burlap, guaranteed for one year, and planted by the Public Works Department. Planting will take place in the fall. Trees will be planted in the parkway and cannot be planted on private property. Watch your tree next summer and, if you notice any problems, call us so we can have the tree examined before the guarantee expires.

Take the Deerfield Public Library Survey

The Deerfield Public Library wants to hear from its patrons to help guide it in a direction that will benefit all of our community members. In a short survey, the Library asks 12 questions that will help it uncover what current programs they could expand upon and what additions could be implemented to best fit the needs of our community. Take the survey today online.
