Enjoy Deerfield Family Days July 3 & 4
Deerfield Family Days begins on July 3 at Shepard Park with children’s activities, food, adult beverages and the fireworks display at 9:15 p.m.
Residents are encouraged to walk or bike to Shepard Park for the July 3 fireworks. If you plan to drive, please note that parking will not be allowed on some streets and limited to one side of the street in many locations. Accessible parking is available at Shepard Middle School. Independence Day kicks off with the Rotary 5K Race, followed by Breakfast in the Park, the dog show, the bike parade and pie eating contest. The Fourth of July Parade steps off at noon from Deerspring Pool, travels west on Deerfield Road, and then heads north on Park Avenue. This year’s parade will feature 63 entries. New this year, bingo will be held at the Jewett Park Pavilion from 10 to 11:30 a.m. and again from 1:30 to 3 p.m. Two cards for $5 and five cards for $10. Cash only, please.
