Join the Fun: Be a Part of the Family Days Parade

The Village of Deerfield invites subdivisions, homeowners associations, local charities, nonprofits, and businesses to help bring the spirit of Independence Day to life by participating in the annual Family Days Parade on Friday, July 4!

This long-standing Deerfield tradition is more than just a parade — it’s a celebration of community, pride and fun. It’s a unique opportunity for local groups and organizations to come together, showcase their creativity and connect with the residents who support them year-round.

Whether you build a float, march, ride bikes, decorate a vehicle or simply walk with your group, your presence will add energy and excitement to the event. It’s also a great chance to promote your mission, raise awareness or just show off your neighborhood spirit!

Let’s make this the most joyful and colorful 4th of July yet. . To sign up, complete the parade participation form by June 27.

Calling All Artists: Submissions Wanted

The Village of Deerfield’s Fine Arts Commission is seeking submissions for two exciting public art opportunities — including the mural installation on the east-facing wall of the AT&T building on Deerfield Road.

Artists ages 14 and up are invited to submit original digital designs that reflect Deerfield’s vibrant, welcoming community. Selected artists will receive a $200 honorarium and the mural will be displayed for one year. Proposals opened May 2 and are due by May 31.

The Village is also accepting artwork loans for public display in Village Hall, Public Works, Deerfield Library, Park District facilities and the sculpture park. Submit up to three ready-to-hang pieces for yearlong exhibition. The deadline for artwork submissions is May 31. Learn more about both programs.
