Frontline Public Safety Solutions Public Portal

The Deerfield Police Department is pleased to announce the implementation of the Frontline Public Safety Solutions public portal, offering residents an additional, convenient way to request overnight parking permission, arrange a home watch while on vacation, or add information for at risk residents.

The Deerfield Police Department hopes this online portal will make these processes more efficient and accessible for all residents. The portal can be accessed from any device with internet capabilities, including cell phones, tablets and computers.

Residents needing to park a vehicle overnight must request permission either through the online portal or by calling the Deerfield Police Department’s non-emergency number at 847.945.8636. Provide the details of the vehicle and the location where it will be parked. Requests must be received before 2 a.m.  to avoid potential citations. Permission shall be limited to the overnight parking of 12 vehicles, in the aggregate, to the members of a single household during any 12 month period; with any special or additional requests handled by calling the department.

Residents planning to leave their homes vacant for an extended period can now request a home watch through the online portal or by phone. Provide the details of the property, keyholders and date range for the watch. Officers will made periodic checks of the property (time permitting).

Families can provide important details about at-risk individuals in their household, such as those with medical conditions or disabilities, ensuring that first responders have the necessary information in case of an emergency.

2025 Hazel Avenue Reconstruction Project

The Hazel Avenue Reconstruction Project includes the full water main replacement, roadway reconstruction and sidewalk improvements between Waukegan Road and Wilmot Road. This project was designed to meet federal funding standards and in 2023, was selected to receive nearly $5M in federal funding.

Preliminary work to accommodate the project improvements, such as tree removals and ComEd pole relocations, will begin in late February and the contractor will start underground utility installation west of Stratford Road in early March. The contractor anticipates completing the project by Thanksgiving 2025. This project will use daytime lane closures and detours throughout the duration of the project. Motorists are encouraged to seek alternate routes during construction when possible.

Interested residents are encouraged to sign up for updates regarding the project from the Village’s project specific blog. For more information, please visit the Village’s website or contact Tyler Dickinson, Assistant Director of Public Works & Engineering at 847.719.7463 or tdickinson@deerfield.il.us.
