Food Truck Wednesdays Return May 15

The Village of Deerfield is excited for this year’s Food Truck Wednesday summer series on the third Wednesday of the month from May through August. The first event will be held on Park Avenue on May 15, from 4:30 p.m. - 8 p.m., and will include live music and bounce equipment for kids. This year’s vendors include: Happy Lobster, Fat Shallot, La Cocinita, Serna’s Grill, Pierogi Rig, Tamales Express, La Humita, Billy Bricks Pizza, Fork N Fry, Donut Jester, Nothing Bundt Cakes and more. 

Please note that the event has been relocated to Park Avenue.

Junior Police Academy 

The Deerfield Police Department Junior Police Academy is a one-week program designed to build a bond of trust and friendship between the police department and youth in our community. Participants will be exposed to a variety of law enforcement topics through a blend of instruction and hands-on activities in order to gain valuable insights into the duties and responsibilities of police officers. The Junior Police Academy offers a unique opportunity to dive into the world of law enforcement while developing skills like fitness, leadership, service and safety. Participants will receive a Junior Police Academy T-shirt!

There are two sessions that both run Monday-Friday, August 5-9, 2024 at the Deerfield Police Department. There are only 20 spots available; 10 spots from 9 a.m. - noon and 10 spots from 1 p.m. - 4 p.m.

Community Sit-Down About Dementia

Join the West Deerfield Township for a community sit-down about dementia on Thursday, May 16, from 1-3 p.m. at Village Hall. The program will focus on caring for the care partner, managing stress, offer solutions for family members and supporting loved ones with dementia. Public Works Open House

Save the Date: Public Works Open House May 18

Join the Village of Deerfield and Deerfield Park District from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 18, for a kid and adult friendly Open House at the Deerfield Public Works Facility, 465 Elm Street. Parking is available at the Patty Turner Center, 375 Elm Street.

This event is free for all ages and will feature:
