Halloween Trick-or-Treat Hours

Get your costumes ready, Halloween is just around the corner. Designated trick-or-treat hours are 3:30 to 7 p.m. on October 31. Residents should turn on exterior lights to show they are welcoming trick-or-treaters during that time.

Coffee with a Cop: October 4

Join the Deerfield Police Department for National Coffee with a Cop Day on Wednesday, October 4, from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the downtown Starbucks. The Police Department is teaming up with the Cancer Wellness Center of Northbrook to promote Breast Cancer Awareness Month, whose mission is to improve the emotional and physical well-being of people affected by cancer.

Take the Illinois Solar Tour

Join the Illinois Solar Tour this Saturday. This FREE event offers the opportunity to tour innovative green homes and buildings, and see how solar energy can be used efficiently. The tour hopes to inspire people across the state to make sustainable energy choices that reduce costs, support energy independence, protect against power outages, and reduce carbon emissions. Six Deerfield locations are participating in the tour to date.

Don't miss this chance to see affordable and practical technologies in your neighborhood that benefit the environment and are part of the solution to our nation’s energy problems. Historical Society's 43rd Annual Fall Festival

The Deerfield Area Historical Society’s 43rd Annual Fall Festival will be held Sunday, October 1, from noon to 4 p.m. at the Deerfield Historic Village at the southwest corner of Deerfield and Kipling Roads. The fun-filled event features food, music, historic building tours and activities for kids.

Display your classic car at the Historical Society’s Fall Festival. Cars from the 1980s and earlier are welcome. For more information or to register, email deerfieldhistory@gmail.com.
