The National Weather Service reports multiple tornado warnings continue across the area this evening with some storms having a history of producing damaging tornadoes. Have multiple ways to receive warnings and seek shelter if a warning is issued for your area! The tornado threat will continue over the next couple hours. What you can do: - Move to a basement or an interior room on the lowest floor of a
sturdy building. Avoid windows. If you are outdoors, in a mobile home, or in a vehicle, move to the closest substantial shelter and protect yourself from flying debris. - Report power outages. Check ComEd’s Outage Map for power outages in your area. Report any outages online or by calling 1-800-EDISON-1. In the event of a downed power line, call ComEd immediately.
- Public Works crews and contractors are on standby to respond to any damage.
- Dial 911 to report an emergency. Always call 911 to report an immediate threat to life or safety.
