EV Charging Station

Village Installs EV Charging Stations

The Village installed five electric vehicle charging stations at Public Works this week to help keep our growing fleet of EVs powered.

The Village owns and maintains 55 vehicles, of which 15 are considered light-use. Light-use vehicles are used for inspections, construction management and by department heads. Replacement of all 15 light-use vehicles by the year 2030 represents nearly 30% of the Village fleet going carbon neutral. The Village’s goal is to replace up to 90% of the Village fleet with EVs by the year 2050. The charging stations are for Village use only.

Parkway Tree Trimming Starts Monday

The parkway tree trimming program is scheduled to begin on Monday. The Village’s contractor, Advanced Tree Care, will complete the work within two weeks, weather depending. The work will primarily take place in the northeast quadrant of the Village.

Trimming work is scheduled for the dormant season to avoid unnecessary damage or trauma to the tree. Trimming is done in accordance with professional standards and may include cutting lower limbs for clearance and thinning of the crown.

Be a Responsible Pet Owner - Take Care of Their Business

If you’re working from home, your dog may feel like a coworker. But please don’t let them do their business in the neighbor’s yard. Remember to pick up after your pets and properly dispose of animal waste.
