Village Hall Parking Lot Closed Next Week

The parking lot behind Village Hall will be closed next week as crews paint the communications monopole near the Police Department. A 150 foot paint drop zone around the monopole will be barricaded off from the public. Residents are asked to use only the front entrance to Village Hall during the parking lot closure.

Bike Safety Booth at Farmers Market

The Deerfield Police Department's Bike Unit will host a bike safety booth at tomorrow’s Farmers Market. Joined by representative from Ride Illinois and Deerfield Cyclery, they will have information about bike safety, bike maintenance and bike laws.

988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline

988 has been designated as the new three-digit dialing code that will route callers to the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline (now known as the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline), and is now active across the United States.

When people call, text, or chat 988, they will be connected to trained counselors that are part of the existing Lifeline network. These trained counselors will listen, understand how their problems are affecting them, provide support, and connect them to resources if necessary.

The previous Lifeline phone number (1-800-273-8255) will always remain available to people in emotional distress or suicidal crisis. Click here to learn more.
