Farmers Market Opens Saturday
Farmers Market season has arrived in Deerfield and tomorrow is opening day!
The Farmers Market will once again be located on Park Avenue between Jewett Park Drive and Hazel Avenue on Saturday mornings, 7 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., June 12 through October 9.
The Village and the Farmers Market Committee are excited to kick off opening day with all of our devoted vendors and loyal customers. To celebrate the start of the season, the Farmers Market Committee is giving away a special “grab and go” kids’ activity (while supplies last)! Other exciting market news includes the return of all 2020 vendors (except one) and the addition of three new vendors. So, come visit your favorite vendors, get to know our new vendors, and bring the family along for a morning at the market!
This season, the Village and the Farmers Market Committee’s goal is to present a market that is dedicated to providing fresh, locally grown and prepared food in a safe, open-air shopping experience. To accomplish this goal, current market COVID safety rules require unvaccinated individuals to wear a face mask while attending the market; non-household individuals to maintain a social distance of at least 6 feet; and, a one-way market flow to be followed by all customers. Additionally, dogs and bikes are not allowed at the market this season. Please note that market regulations are subject to change.
There is something for everyone at the Deerfield Farmers Market! Come join us this Saturday to celebrate a Deerfield tradition, explore the market, and support local producers. We hope to see you there!
