Give Where You Live - Deerfield Day of Service

The Village of Deerfield invites everyone to participate in a “Day of Service” on Monday, January 18 in honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., collection boxes will be placed for donations to the West Deerfield Township Food Pantry. Residents are encouraged to make cards of support for those in need along with their donations.

The items most needed at this time include:

Baby and child diapers
Pull ups
Baby wipes
Paper towels
Toilet paper
Any kind of cleaning and laundry supplies
Hand sanitizer
Any size socks
Gift cards
Towels
Sheets

Sidewalk Snow Clearing

As part of the sidewalk snow clearing program, the Public Works Department clears approximately 24 miles of sidewalk throughout the Village. The snow clearing route focuses on strategically important locations that includes the sidewalks along major thoroughfares such as Deerfield, Waukegan and Lake Cook Roads. The program also concentrates on the sidewalks around schools, the downtown shopping district and Metra parking lots.

The Village asks all residents to please be considerate of pedestrians by clearing sidewalks of snow and ice. For additional information, contact the Public Works Department at 847-317-7245.

Learn About the COVID-19 Vaccine at Jan. 13 Town Hall

At Lake County's next Virtual Town Hall on Jan. 13, Lake County Board Chair Sandy Hart will host a discussion with Lake County Health Department Executive Director Mark Pfister, Medical Epidemiologist Dr. Sana Ahmed and others about the County's vaccination efforts and answer related questions from the community.
