A Message from Mayor Rosenthal
Happy Thanksgiving, Deerfield!
While many of us are foregoing our usual family traditions this year, I hope everyone finds ways to be safe, give thanks, and make memories. Let’s face it, we’ll probably be talking about the “pandemic Thanksgiving” for years to come, so let’s make the best of it.
Thanksgiving is more than just turkey, mashed potatoes, and pie. It’s about connecting with family and friends to focus on our shared blessings. I hope you all find a way to safely reach out to those you love and reflect on the good things in your life.
As we head into the holiday season, please remember to shop local. Our local business community depends on us all to make it through Covid-19. The Wednesday before Thanksgiving tends to be a popular time for families to order take out. If you do, e-mail your receipt from a Deerfield restaurant to info@dbrchamber.com to be entered into a drawing for a gift card to the restaurant of your choosing.
Please continue to follow the 3 W’s. Wear a mask. Wash your hands. Watch your distance.
Celebrate safely tomorrow so we can celebrate together soon.
Do it for you. Do it for us. #DoItForDeerfield
Best,
Harriet
