There are many who will have only mild symptoms and some who may not have any symptoms. It is these individuals who could unknowingly transmit the virus to some of our most vulnerable populations or introduce it into congregate settings.

Yard Waste Collection Starts Tomorrow

Yard waste is collected once per week on your scheduled pickup day from tomorrow until December 15. For guidelines on yard waste collection click here.

The following businesses are intending to sell yard waste stickers:

• Heinen’s
• Craftwood Lumber
• Jewel-Osco (Deerfield & Highland Park locations)
• Walgreens is out of stickers at this time, but has placed an order and plans to sell them shortly. 

Don’t Flush Disinfectant Wipes 

Our Water Reclamation Facility reminds residents that disinfectant wipes should not be flushed down the toilet. Even if the product says “flushable” on the packaging, please do not put it in the toilet. When these are flushed down the toilet, you are putting yourself and potentially your fellow residents at risk for sewage backups. These foreign objects can cause blockages in the sewer lines, plug pumps and damage treatment equipment when they build up. These products belong in the trash, so please dispose of them accordingly. A recent article from the New York Times shows this is a problem throughout the country.
