The Illinois State Tollway Authority is scheduled to replace the Pfingsten Road Bridge over the Edens Spur south of Lake Cook Road starting March 16.

This work will result in a full roadway closure of Pfingsten Road between Lake Cook Road and Dundee Road for at least four months. Traffic will be detoured to Waukegan Road. Access to the businesses located south of Lake Cook Road but north of the bridge will be maintained during the project.

The Village, Lake County Health Department and Community Health Center, and Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) in addition to area partner agencies, are all  taking steps to prepare, prevent and recover should our area be impacted by the coronavirus. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention offers a number of recommendations for individuals and employers to stay healthy and prevent the spread of coronavirus, flu, the common cold, and other illnesses, as well as travel recommendations on their website here.
 
The current risk to Illinois residents remains low, however the Village, State of Illinois and Lake County Health Department are taking steps to prepare. As of today, Illinois has had two confirmed cases. These individuals have since recovered and there are no known infectious Illinois residents at this time.
