Non-Emergency Village Offices Closed for Holidays - Wednesday, December 25 & Wednesday, January 1

Village Hall

In observance of Christmas Day and New Year's Day, non-emergency Village offices will be closed on Wednesday, December 25, and Wednesday, January 1. Regular hours will resume the following Thursdays.

As a reminder to stay safe this season, consider the following tips:

  • Lock your car doors and remove all valuables from plain sight.
  • Lock the doors and windows to your home, including doors connecting your garage to the inside of your home.
  • Notify neighbors, family members or the Deerfield Police Department if you will be away on vacation so someone can keep an eye on your home or contact you if there are any incidents while you are away.

The Village of Deerfield wishes you a happy and safe holiday season!

Waste Management Holiday Schedule

Waste Management

Waste Management refuse collection (garbage and recycling) will be delayed by one day next week for the collection on Wednesday, December 25.

Tuesday collection (north of Deerfield Road) on December 24 will remain the same. Wednesday collection (south of Deerfield Road) on December 25 will be delayed to Thursday, December 26, due to the Christmas holiday.

As a reminder, do not leave your garbage and recycling toters at the curb during unsanctioned times.

Deerfield Police Department Holiday Enforcement

Police Department

The Deerfield Police Department is conducting additional traffic safety and sobriety patrols for the rest of December and through January 2.

The primary function of these patrols will be to arrest impaired drivers and heighten public awareness of the dangers of driving while under the influence of an intoxicating substance.

Stay safe this holiday season. If your celebration involves festive drinks, make sure you designate a sober driver and remember, "Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over."
