Construction Update for Week of May 23, 2022

Posted on May 23, 2022 at 3:40 PM by John Guccione

Charring Cross: This week the contractor will be removing curb and sidewalk on the northern portion of Charring Cross with the intention to pour curb. The curb pour is scheduled for Wednesday May 25 (weather permitting). Residents who will experience driveway impacts were notified last week. After placing curb, the contractor will continue preparing for sidewalk to be poured later in the week.

Gordon Terrace & Plum Tree:  This week the contractor will be removing curb and sidewalk with the intention to pour curb on phase 2. The curb pour is scheduled for Wednesday May 25 (weather permitting). Residents who will experience driveway impacts were notified last week. After placing curb the contractor will continue preparing for sidewalk to be poured later in the week.

Montgomery Rd: Underground operations begin Tuesday, May 24 on Montgomery Rd. This will include spot repairs to sanitary mainline, storm sewer lateral replacement (where required), plus repairs to small drainage structures and curb inlets.  We realize this location is near a school. Therefore, the contractor will minimize operations near school access points during peak traffic times.

Price Lane:   Water main and hydrant installations have been completed on Price Lane. The contractor must now pressure test the main, chlorinate and pass "water quality testing" before the new main can be put into service. The aforementioned testing should be completed by next week. On Tuesday, May 31st, the contractor will return to complete underground operations. Reminder: due to the tight space on Price Lane, construction will result in delayed access to motor vehicles.
