WRF Process Investigation Study Underway

The Village of Deerfield has been working on the Process Investigation Study for the Water Reclamation Facility since February of this year. The nationally recognized firms of Donohue & Associates and Webster Environmental Associates were hired based on their qualifications in wastewater and odor control engineering. This team will be assessing the current operations of the facility and taking air samples throughout the different processes of the WRF. They will then determine if process changes can be made to reduce odors as well as develop odor control alternatives which may include capital projects. This study is projected to be completed in late summer or early fall 2020.
