A Message from Mayor Harriet Rosenthal - Restore Illinois Phase 3

Illinois will enter into Phase 3 of Gov. Pritzker’s Restore Illinois program this Friday, allowing many businesses to reopen in the Village. We have reached this milestone through our collected efforts to stay home, take COVID-19 seriously, and lower the curve.

As the Stay at Home Order expires, we must learn to coexist with COVID-19. When we mstart to open, let’s bring the same concerted effort to stay safe and healthy as our community has exhibited over the past few months.

The Illinois Department of Public Health released guidelines for businesses to reopen. The Village is working with the DBR Chamber of Commerce to help educate businesses about these new guidelines, but it important that residents learn what is expected of them before entering a business. You can find the guidelines for what to expect when going out here. Please remember that face coverings are still required for entering a business.

The DBR Chamber of Commerce is compiling a list of businesses and their plans for reopening and using its Community Text Program to share information. Simply text "DBR" to 55678 to join this great resource for both businesses and residents.

Please “Shop & Eat Local” to maintain the vibrancy of our businesses and restaurants. Phase 3 is new to all of us. It will take some getting used to, so please be patient and pleasant. Remember, we are all in this together. #DoItForDeerfield.
