Brierhill Road Project Construction Update – 9/15/2017

The contractor completed the installation of sod, seed, and mailboxes this week. Now that all of the mailboxes are completed, the temporary mailboxes will be removed and regular mail delivery will resume starting Monday. Please ensure all mail has been retrieved from the temporary mailboxes before Monday.

As the sod is new and fragile, please instruct any landscapers/contractors/guests that may be parking on Brierhill Rd to not drive on any of the grass. The sod is still very soft and any vehicles driving on it will result in large ruts in the parkway.

Next week, the contractor will wrap up the remaining miscellaneous items for this project and prep the roadway for final paving. This will include the installation of the new street signs early in the week.

Due to the contractor’s availability as well as to avoid disruptions during Rosh Hashanah, the contractor will not be paving next week as previously communicated. Instead, the contractor is looking to pave the following week and additional communication will be sent out once a date has been set. With the exception of roadway striping, this is anticipated to be the final item completed on this project.

Finally, as the sodding and parkway restoration has been completed, landscapers are invited to resume their normal schedules. This project was difficult enough as it was and the Village would like to thank all of you for cooperating with our original request.

Please be advised that the information communicated here is a forecast of proposed operations, which may change due to contractor availability and/or weather conditions.
