Brierhill Road Project Construction Update – 8/4/2017
This week, the contractor began the reinstallation of brick driveways as well as rough grading of the roadway. The contractor also was able to complete the installation of the new ribbon curb.
The paving contractor’s schedule has been pushed back due to the recent rain and is now planning to begin final grading mid-week next week. This will allow the night paving to begin late next week and possibly into the weekend. This work will be divided into two nights at roughly 8-10 hours a night. The specific date and times have not been determined but will be communicated as soon they are determined. The Village will be working with the contractor to give as much advance warning to all residents as possible prior to the paving.
Once the roadway is paved, the contractor will turn their attention to continue the restoration of the driveways and parkways that were disturbed during the project. This work will most likely take the contractor beyond the original August 15th completion date as they have lost time due to the abnormal amount of rain we have seen this year. The contractor may be required to wait until September to complete the sodding and the final surface of asphalt.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR CONTINUED PATIENCE.
