Brierhill Road Project Construction Update – 6/23/2017

A COUPLE REMINDERS

  • PLEASE REMIND ALL LANDSCAPERS AND CONTRACTORS TO COME OUTSIDE OF CONSTRUCTION HOURS AS PREVIOUSLY DISCUSSED.
  • DO NOT REMOVE UTILITY FLAGS FROM YOUR FRONT YARD. THESE ARE PLACED TO HELP PROTECT THE UTILITIES AND THE WORKERS WORKING AROUND THEM. PLEASE PASS THIS ALONG TO YOUR LANDSCAPERS.

LAST WEEK

The contractor continued the pavement removals and excavation this week.

SCHEDULE

Pavement Removals

Next week, the contractor will work to continue the pavement removal and excavation. This will require the contractor remove the pavement along the curves and the north end of Brierhill Road near Deerfield Rd. This work may cause delays to motorists similar to the water main installation.

For the pavement removals, this work will cut off driveway access the day the pavement is removed, in front of a driveway. All driveway impacts during pavement removal are intended to only be during construction hours (7:30am - ~5pm) and should only be for one day. Residents will be notified the day before their driveway will be impacted via a hand delivered notice.

Residents are encouraged to park on nearby side streets (if possible) or in their unimpacted neighbor’s driveways should they need to leave throughout the day. The contractor will also be installing stone parking areas along Brierhill Rd for residents to use during this time. We do ask that residents who park along Brierhill Rd be sure to park far enough away from the construction operation as to not interfere with the removal operation.

Curb

The contractor is anticipating to start the curb installation next week. As previously stated, this will cause driveway impacts when the curb is installed across a driveway. However, with the exception of circle driveways which will be done one at a time starting next week, the contractor is not planning on installing driveway curbs next week and will focus on the curb between all the driveways. Additional communication will be delivered prior to any driveway impacts.

Please be advised that the information communicated here is a forecast of proposed operations, which may change due to contractor availability and/or weather conditions.
