Brierhill Road Project Construction Update – 6/02/2017
A COUPLE REMINDERS
The contractor continued the necessary repairs to the sanitary sewer as well as replacement of some of the storm culverts. The contractor also completed the water main loop to Sequoia Lane.
Next week, the contractor will begin pavement removal and excavation. This will require the contractor to remove the top 12” – 15” of the existing road and earth. This work will cut off driveway access the day the pavement is removed, in front of a driveway. All driveway impacts during pavement removal are intended to only be during construction hours (7:30am - ~5pm) and should only be for one day. Residents will be notified the day before their driveway will be impacted via a hand delivered notice.
Residents are encouraged to park on nearby side streets (if possible) or in their unimpacted neighbor’s driveways should they need to leave throughout the day. The contractor will also be installing stone parking areas along Brierhill Rd for residents to use during this time. We do ask that residents who park along Brierhill Rd be sure to park far enough away from the construction operation as to not interfere with the removal operation.
The contractor will move to installing new sanitary manholes throughout the project later in the week when the custom manholes are delivered but will continue pavement removals after that.
Please be advised that the information communicated here is a forecast of proposed operations, which may change due to contractor availability and/or weather conditions.
