The Village would like to thank all of those that attended Wednesday’s Woodvale Avenue Project public meeting. The meeting was well attended and many important topics were covered. Some of the topics that were covered were:
- Anticipated daily impacts
- Driveway impacts
- Water main impacts and associated precautionary boil orders
- Construction Schedule
- Offsite Parking
Last week, the contractor mobilized their equipment to the site and began the new water main installation near North Avenue.
ANTICIPATED SCHEDULE NEXT WEEK
Next Monday, the contractor will begin storm sewer installation throughout the project. This at times will cause delays in through traffic. During these situations, motorists are encouraged to use adjacent roadways to avoid the construction.
The Village has decided to postpone any work that would impact private water services. Therefore, there will be no planned water main shutdowns until further notice. Construction activities are moving forward as planned.
If you have any questions or require special assistance during construction, please contact the Village of Deerfield Engineering Department at 847-317-2490 and request to speak with someone regarding the Woodvale Avenue Project.
