Work Completed Last Week:
The underground contractor continued the installation of fire hydrants, water valves, and private water service connections last week. They were also able to complete 3 water main connections to the existing water mains in the area which required water main shutdowns to those properties within the area.
Anticipated Schedule for This Week:
The underground contractor will complete the new water service connections on Hawthorne Ln. on Monday, thereby completing all of the private connections to the new main. The contractor will also be connecting the new water main to the existing main at Hawthorne Ln./North Ave. on Wednesday which will require a full water shutdown for those in the area.
The contractor is expected to be substantially complete with this project by the end of the week. Once this project has been completed, the street rehabilitation project will begin. This project will repair impacted curbs, perform roadway patches, and resurface the roads within the subdivision. In order to receive updates for this upcoming work, residents are encouraged to sign up for the 2019 Street Rehabilitation Project Blog via the Village Website.

Construction operations will necessitate daily lane closures during working hours which may result in delays to local vehicular traffic. Caution shall be practiced through the construction work zone, and the Village asks that residents be alert for workers and construction equipment.
The Village appreciates your patience while we complete this improvement. If you have any questions or need additional information, please contact the Village of Deerfield Engineering Department at 847-317-2490.
