Work Completed Last Week:
The underground contractor continued the installation of fire hydrants, water valves, and private water service connections last week. To date, over 70% of the private water services have been completed. The contractor also completed storm sewer repairs along Woodland Dr. over the weekend.
Anticipated Schedule for This Week:
The underground contractor will continue with the new water service connections along Oakwood Pl. and Hawthorne Ln. During these connections, short term water disruptions will be required so the homes can be connected to the new main. The contractor will also be connecting the new water mains to the existing mains at Woodbine Ct./North Ave. (Tuesday), Oakwood Pl./North Ave. (Wednesday), and Crabtree Ln. / Woodland Dr. (Thursday) which will require water impacts for those in the area during the work.
The contractor is expected to be completed in the next 2-3 weeks with the required water main project. Once this project is completed, the road rehabilitation project will begin.
Percentage Complete: 72%
Construction operations will require water main impacts as well as daily lane closures during working hours which may result in delays to local vehicular traffic. Caution shall be practiced through the construction work zone, and the Village asks that residents be alert for workers and construction equipment.
The Village appreciates your patience while we complete this improvement. If you have any questions or need additional information, please contact the Village of Deerfield Engineering Department at 847-317-2490.
Please be advised that the information communicated here is a forecast of proposed operations which may change due to contractor availability and/or weather conditions.
