Brierhill Road Project Construction Update – 4/7/2017
Due to the rain, the contractor only worked 3 days this week, one of which was solely spent repairing the existing roadway after it deteriorated following the initial rainfall. The contractor has moved further south and away from the curves which will improve the congestion that many motorists dealt with this week.
Next week, the contractor will continue working south down Brierhill Road with the installation of the new water main.
Next week, ComEd will perform their required tree removal/trimming around the bends in order to relocate the existing utility poles for this project. It is currently anticipated that the tree removals/trimming will take place on Wednesday. This work is not anticipated to require a scheduled power outage.
It was also brought to our attention that many of you received a scheduled power outage notification from ComEd for today. This work occurred outside of the Brierhill Project and we believe that those that received the notification did so as a precaution incase the outage extended beyond the planned area.
There are some landscapers that are still working during construction hours. This does cause delays on both the contractor as well as the motoring public. Please be sure to remind your landscapers to not come during regular business hours when the contractor will be working, regardless of whether or not they can park in a driveway. We ask that all landscapers work between 5:30pm – 8:30pm during the week and 8:30am – 5:00pm on Saturdays and Sundays.
Please be advised that the information communicated here is a forecast of proposed operations which may change due to contractor availability and/or weather conditions.
