Posted on July 15, 2019 at 9:09 AM by John Guccione

Birchwood Ave:
Storm Sewer repairs have been completed on Birchwood. Replacement of concrete curbs and sidewalks will take place in approximately 1 weeks.

Castlewood, Cranshire, Montgomery, Chatham, Peartree & Village Green:
This week, the contractor will complete road patching on Cranshire Court and Pear Tree in Preparation for final surface paving of this area which is planned to take place this Thursday, July 18th.

During paving operations, please note that homeowners will have access to their property at all times via the parkways. However, due to limited space during daytime operations, access to driveways may be delayed or denied at times. Please allow ample time for relocation of vehicles and temporary delays that may occur. Though driveway access may be denied during paving operations, access will be re-established at the end of daytime operations.

fresh-oilPlease be aware that signs stating “Fresh Oil” may be observed throughout the time period when asphalt paving will occur. The use of fresh oil helps different layers of asphalt to adhere to one another providing a longer lasting final product. Residents should be mindful of driving through fresh oil. If a detour is not in place and motorists must drive through fresh oil, please drive slowly. Driving at higher speeds through fresh oil may cause the material to adhere to the undercarriage and/or fenders of the car, which can be difficult and costly to remove.

Warrington Road:

Now that concrete crews are becoming available, work will begin later this week to remove concrete curbs and sidewalk (on the east side of Warrington) in preparation for the concrete pour next week. Once curbs and sidewalks have been removed, the contractor will restore access using aggregate (stone) ramps. These ramps will remain in place until the day before the concrete crews become available. At which point, residents who will experience driveway impacts, will be notified 48-72 hours previous to impacts.

Meadow Lane:
Underground work has been completed. Repairs to concrete curbs and sidewalk will take place in 2-3 weeks. Pavement removal will follow.
