History
The Deerfield Farmers Market was established in 1995 as a way to offer locally grown fruits and vegetables, and other fresh products to our community in an outdoor market setting. Over the years our market has become a fun communal gathering spot for Deerfield residents and a destination for those in neighboring communities.
Overview
We are a weekly Saturday market that operates for 18 weeks during the growing season. More than 25 vendors sell conventional and organic vegetables fruit, fresh-cut flowers and a variety of specialty products.
Each week we offer special musical entertainment and hands-on activities for children.
We also are pleased to host local civic organizations for fundraising events including book and bake sales.
Our market is kid-friendly, dog-friendly and a wonderful place to spend a Saturday morning.
Come visit the volunteer team at the Information Booth or find us roaming the market – we are the ones in the green aprons!
Committee
Our board is comprised of dedicated volunteers who work hard to deliver on the promise of “food, friends and fun” at every market. We are always looking for new members and people who are interesting in volunteering to help at the occasional market. If interested please email us.
